“I Don’t Know What I’d Do’
Written by Laurie Cave for James & Katie
Inspired by the warmth and simplicity of Ray LaMontagne's Jolene, this song was written from conversations with James about his relationship with Katie.
What stood out most was the quiet certainty he felt. Not fireworks or drama — just the feeling of meeting someone who made life make more sense. Someone who helped him trust, softened his heart, and felt like home.
Built around the line "I don't know what I'd do without you", the song captures that simple but profound feeling of finding your person and knowing, deep down, that they're the one.
“Daughters’
Written by Laurie Cave for Olivia & Josh
Inspired by the storytelling of Zach Bryan and the warmth of Ed Sheeran, this song was written from Josh's perspective as he reflected on a season of life filled with both excitement and change.
When we spoke, Josh kept coming back to the same feeling — how quickly life had moved. One moment they were young, adventurous and falling in love, and the next they were preparing to welcome a daughter into the world.
At its heart, Daughters is a song about growing up without growing apart. About looking towards the future, building a family together, and still seeing the same person you fell in love with all those years ago.
‘Girl’
Written by Laurie Cave for Tom & Harriet
Inspired by the organic acoustic sound of Ziggy Alberts and José González, this song was written as a reflection on Tom and Harriet's journey from a hesitant beginning to a love neither of them could ignore.
When we spoke, Tom described knowing very early on that Harriet was different. While she took her time to trust what was unfolding between them, he carried a quiet certainty that their lives were moving towards one another.
Girl tells the story of those early moments — awkward smiles, unspoken feelings, growing intimacy — and the gradual realisation that something extraordinary was taking shape. At its heart, it's a song about recognising your person before they're quite ready to see it themselves, and patiently loving them until they do.
